As a Marketing & Brand Designer at Granular your primary responsibility will be to extend the creative vision of the Granular brand. You will collaborate and support the marketing team in developing creative digital design solutions from conception through execution that strategically translate and support the Granular brand strategy across channels.

As the first marketing design hire in company, this person will have a huge impact on brand and marketing strategy and eventual build-out of the marketing team.

At Granular, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a top-tier startup team with proven entrepreneurial expertise looking to change the $3 trillion agriculture industry. We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for motivated, smart, and versatile individuals to join our team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Visual design primarily focused on web and email, with some sales enablement and event design work
  • Lead the creation and delivery of visual designs for our website, email campaigns, landing pages, print collateral and events
  • Develop creative concepts for marketing programs to meet business goals and extend the brand
  • Collaborate with the Product Design team in the creation of new user interface elements and interaction patterns
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing to monitor and maintain a consistent brand experience across digital and offline channels
  • Create, maintain, and extend the Granular style guide, brand guidelines, and user interface toolkit in collaboration with the Product Design team
  • Clearly articulate your design decisions, maintaining a strong POV
  • Be an advocate for design throughout the entire company
  • Embrace feedback and criticism as part of the design process

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A passion for excellent visual design and an attention to detail that borders on OCD
  • Solid understanding of design methodologies, user-experience + interface design, information design, and corporate branding
  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color sense and up-to-date design tools including PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Mastery of front-end code in HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript to interface with backend code
  • Be an expert at WordPress and Powerpoint (sorry, we know it’s not the coolest!)
  • Loves to work in start-up environments – we move fast and fix stuff as we go!
