My Client are a global Rail Engineering, Design and Construction business, and are looking for an interim Contractors Responsible Engineer.
The CRE will be acting as a project manager for the design, delivery and construction phase of the upgrades, refurbishments, and enhancements for various stations across the Midlands. They will also be responsible for producing, reviewing and signing off all the design deliverables. These will include, but are not limited to: footbridges, overbridges, platform extensions, civil engineering works, staircases, canapes etc.
The CRE will be responsible for leading and directing the engineering activities for the construction team, and therefore allowing for a timely completion of the work stages, ensuring that the work and its associated milestones are completed on time, and dealing with the project engineering budgets and ensuring the costs-levels are maintained.
Another part of the role will include communicating with the design, construction and engineering staff, along with the various sub-contractors to ensure that any issues that arise are dealt with.
Key Skills:

  • Proven track record of successful deliveries within the Rail sector
  • Engineering/technical background, ideally with a Chartership
  • Station upgrades, refurbishments and enhancements experience
  • Previous experience as a CRE.
