Progressive are representing a leading company within the automotive industry in the search for an Algorithm Expert to join the R&D Power Electronics Team. The role has been created due to increasing client demand, and a strong demand forecast for their unique products and solutions for the hybrid / Electric vehicle market.Areas of responsibility
- The Algorithm Expert will be working closely with other team members including hardware and software on designing the power electronic products
- Design for robustness, fault tolerance, signal integrity, variation due to tolerances, diagnostics, EMI, etc.
- To understand the impact of the surrounding environment in which the products are to be installed and used
- To define and model the control object and the algorithms, in a way it can be verified prior to implementation and then efficiently and robustly implemented
- To define, communicate and drive the strategies in the own competency area
- Understanding of the hybrid/electric vehicle architectures and handle technical discussions with customers
Candidate profile
Experience and skills:
- A total of 5 - 10 years relevant experience including experience with control algorithm development and power electronics
- M.Sc. educated
- Good understanding of the physics of electricity, thermal, etc. relevant for the position
- MATLAB/Simulink experience
- Knowledge about automotive standards and requirements especially in hybrid and/or electric drivelines
