Description

For our client in the R&D industry we are looking for an experienced engineer who can analyse airflows

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Language: English

Location: Venlo

Next year our client will introduce an improved professional machine in a Lead Customer Program with focus on time to market. This means that the design is not yet completely suitable for larger production numbers. R&D is responsible for the quality of the current manufactured machines. The next phase will be about getting an understanding of the functioning of current and improved designs.
With making use of available prototypes, test equipment, architectures and models, the current design has to be verified and optimized in order to understand and guarantee an extend working latitude.

Role:

As a Mechanical Designer Flow you are part of a multidisciplinary project. Within this project you join the team (~5 people) working on the machine.
In this team your role is to develop a CFD model to improve the airflow within the engine and cooperate in experimental verification. Together with the team you will validate the model by doing airflow measurements inside the engine and separate test setups. If needed you will adapt the model so it simulates the actual behaviour inside the engine.
This validated model will then be used to further improve and predict any changes made to the current solution.
You will work in close cooperation with designers, constructors and researchers.

Main Tasks:

Create CFD model

Validate CFD model

Measure airflow and direction

Need to have

Required Education: Bachelor Mechanics/physics

At least 5 years work experience

Experience with CFD analysis (experience Siemens NX) is required

Relevant working experience in modelling and measurement: flow and direction measurement based on Doppler analysis

Result driven, hands-on and proactive mentality

Analytical and conceptual thinker

Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Entrepreneurial product thinker
