Summary- Estimates testing effort in projects
- Manages testing activities in projects
- Develops and maintains Test Strategy and Test Plans that define testing activities and the resources executing them
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders
- Tracks and reports status of testing deliverables
- Identifies and escalates project level quality issues and risks
- Assesses the progress and effectiveness of the test effort
- Reports status of testing projects
- Supports root cause analysis of quality issues in test projects
- Identifies, describes, and mentors test analysts in appropriate test techniques
- Identifies the appropriate testing tools for the project
- Specifies and verifies the required Test Environment Configurations
- Identifies the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort
- Negotiates the ongoing objectives and deliverables of the test effort
- Advocates the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects
- Participates in requirement analysis
- Participates in preparing Test Plans
- Designs Test Scenarios
- Designs Test Cases for system, integration testing, performance testing
- Provides Test Data requirements
- Provides Test Environment requirements to execute the test cases
- Executes the Test Cases
- Logs and tracks Defects
- Leverage HP ALM testing suite
- Develop test automation capabilities
- Focus on test case/suite re-usability for regression testing
- Attention to detail and thoroughness is a key attribute for this role.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as HP UDF is a plus as we are starting to develop some Automated Testing capabilities.
