Direct Marketing - Direct Mail - Direct Mail Marketing Agency Specialist

We are keen to secure the services of a Direct Mail Marketing specialist from an agency background to work on a high profile programme of work
The work is centred around a campaign to demonstrate the vital contribution mail makes to advertising success.

We need someone able to take the brief from the media specialists (sales team), interpret whether it needs specialist support ( therefore maybe involve and external partner) or can be developed from existing material, and then has the planning know how/relationship skills to schedule in with our planning team.

Core expectations of the successful candidate:

A background with Direct Marketing agencies and has a broad experience in the direct agency world. (Ideally from a Director/Business Director type role)
Deeply understands use of direct mail in terms of the modern media mix.
Has had roles in an agency that have either been client service in focus or new business development or both
Has a proven ability to build strong relationships with senior clients/partner (internal and external in our case)
Is a strong strategic thinker and therefore able to work with senior planners to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
Had a wide range of client exposure across industry groups including retail, financial services and charities.

The role includes the need to:

Own, manage and triage all client and sales enquiries into Planning and Insight and effectively.
Manage the relationship between Planning and Sales and be the point of escalation to resolve any conflicts.
Create, develop and maintain multiple high level partnership agreements with third party partners to underpin the delivery of business requirements and targets.
Work with internal stakeholders and partners to ensure robust plans are in place to support the delivery of agreed solutions involving partners' products and services including data partners, agency suppliers and any bespoke third party partner relationships required to support business objectives.
Manage and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements for client specific requirements for data services and any other third party bespoke requirements.
Manage the relationship & negotiation of Bespoke Data contracts to ensure smooth delivery into the Data team & clients.
Be the 'go to' for all external sales enquiries into Planning/Insight and develop deep understanding of capabilities of the Planning/Insight functions.
