Corporate Governance Manager, NHS

I am currently recruiting for an interim Corporate Governance Manager on behalf an NHS organization for a 3 month contract based in the south of England.

Contact length: 3 months.

Location: South of England.

To be considered for this post you need the following experience: -
  • Provide advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of statutory and regulatory procedures and practices and ensure translation of legislation into Trust procedures.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Trust wide corporate framework and procedures.
  • This will require specialist knowledge across the following subject areas - law, business management, corporate governance, risk management and internal control, company secretaryship, corporate administration and corporate finance.
  • Communicate the complex compliance requirements to Executive Directors, Non-Executive Directors and managers and secure the required behaviour.
  • Facilitate the smooth operation of the Trust's formal decision making and reporting machinery, and to ensure that registers, returns and formal Trust papers are completed and maintained appropriately, ensuring due diligence is applied to all transactions, advising Board members on their responsibilities.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures for the sound governance of the Trust and internal control are in place and to advise the Board of developments in governance issues.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the integration of governance activity, internal control and policy development within the Trust across all directorates and departments.
  • Extensive experience in NHS Corporate Governance positions.
