Senior Safety Engineer
A Senior Safety Engineer with Naval experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 12 month contract working for a leading defence company.
Overview of the Senior Safety Engineer contract role
A senior Safety Engineer is required to Provide Technical Authoring skills to the development and delivery of the Major Area Safety Justifications (MASJ's), with a strong understanding of Naval/Submarine vessels in a nuclear capacity.
Key skills required for the Senior Safety Engineer
- Marine and nuclear reactor plant operating experience.
- Able to present presentations on hazards on submarine systems.
- Able to take on delivery of these presentations shortly after joining.
- A broad understanding and appreciation of hazard identification and analysis techniques.
- Provide support and advice to the wider engineering community for the purpose of this activity.
- Safety Analyst/Technical Author.
- Authoring of MASJ' (Major Area Safety Justifications) reports in support of the safety case experience.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
