Description

Advertisers have access to more advanced customer information, and are better equipped to exploit targeting insights, optimise campaign strategies and maximise advertising budgets. Our client is positioned to enable actionable data insights and evolving ad models through the use of its infrastructure investments and media related data sets. The VP Advertising is joining the AVAD team in order to realise the opportunity within the European market. He or she would develop, evangelise and monetise the opportunity for emerging ad models and manage a shadow P&L for all advertising activities - for our 30 million customers in 14 countries.

The candidate will be a strategic, ad services and marketing professional with strong communications skills and solid experience from supply or demand side of advertising.

  • Develop market opportunities and business cases related to AVAD - based on internal/external data

  • Build an end to end advanced advertising business and associated revenue streams

  • Establish, develop the Ad ecosystem

  • Identify, Validate and implement new advanced advertising (AA) products and services

  • Develop strong 3rd party relationships within the ad ecosystem - broadcasters, agencies, advertisers, digital publishers.

  • Support local markets in developing their AA offerings, knowledge-share strategy, insights and best practice across the territories.

  • Build and launch the integrated AdPlus targeted ad platform

  • Develop Ad models, deals, sales structures

  • Define/prioritize AMS monetization, use cases, product definitions

Demands:

  • The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, preference given to candidates with a Masters in business, media or advertising.

  • 10-15 years demonstrable experience in the ad industry with an ability to operate at strategic level

  • Proven track record of building ad related revenues and a detailed understanding of the changing linear and digital ad value chain (eg SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, Exchanges, Ad Tech)

  • Combines strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial approach

  • Experience developing and managing a commercial team

  • Strong executive presence and persuasive communications skills

  • Experience managing complex internal and external relationships

  • Adept at navigating and developing relationships within a European commercial and cultural context.
