A Naval Weapon Systems Designer Services Engineer with Mechanical skills is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.
This is a 6 month contract working for a leading defence company.

A vacancy has arisen for a professional Mechanical Engineer to work within the weapons design team on projects through all stages: from design and development stage through to the final manufacture and implementation
Key skills required for the Naval Weapon Systems Designer
- Perform technical investigations of problematic/failed systems.
- Root cause analysis.
- Structural analysis
- Concept generation and development/evaluation of technical solution options and preparation of reports with suggested recommendations
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
