Description
GlassHouse Technologies (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking qualified candidates with the capability and experience to migrate and setup enterprise Storage devices.
To be considered, candidates will:
- Have superb interpersonal communication skills and the ability to participate in a team/project with several (possibly remote) team members.
- Have strong written, verbal and leadership skills
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Have a minimum of 9 years of experience with a portion of the time in a lead technical role encompassing storage
- Have direct people management experience with the ability to drive the activities of multi-person customer and partner consulting teams
- Have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification is required
- Have prior consulting experience including providing strategic and tactical planning for data management and delivery systems
- Have broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment
- Possess the technical skills, qualifications and knowledge to:
-Manage project scope and customer expectations, as a delivery leader in the field
-Setup and manage technical workshops
-Architect and design storage solutions
-Analyse business requests and provide solutions to meet requirements
-Develop and maintain design & plan documentation
-Scope and write detailed technical content for detailed Statements of Work
- Be able to demonstrate significant hands on' experience in this field of work including:
-Current experience configuring and managing IBM and Netbackup systems.
-Proficiency in various technologies used in SAN/NAS, and DR/BC solutions
-Skills on storage products such as NetApp, SUN, HP, IBM, EMC
-Desirable - experience in one or more of the following:
- Microsoft; SQL, Exchange, Sharepoint
- Unix/Linux; Red Hat, Solaris, AIX
- Database; Oracle (10G RAC), DB2, Sybase or similar
- Backup/recovery; Commvault, Simpana, Netbackup or similar.
- Possibly have background or experience in one or more of the roles of Solutions Architect, Enterprise Storage Manager, Storage Administrator
- Be based in Melbourne and hold a valid visa for working in Australia
