Description
We are currently seeking to recruit a Qualified Insurance Accountant with Insurance/Reinsurance experience to join a leading insurance company in London. The focus of this role is to be preparing regulatory returns for Syndicate 4711, the Managing Agency and the Corporate Member in accordance with Lloyd's rules and timescales for preparation.Prior experience of working within London Market Insurance or Reinsurance in a Finance role is essential for this vacancy. CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS
RATE: £400 PER DAY
LOCATION: LONDON
MAIN DUTIES
- Preparation of management information for consolidation into the Group USGAAP returns
- Preparation of regulatory returns for Syndicate 4711, the Managing Agency (AMAL) and the Corporate Member (AUL) in accordance with Lloyd's rules and timescales for preparation
- Input to development and ongoing maintenance of systems and processes required for management and regulatory reporting for Syndicate 4711
- Preparation of statutory accounts for Syndicate 4711, AMAL, AUL and other company accounts
- Posting of technical account transactions to the Coda (system) nominal ledger
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working in the insurance market with experience of working in a Syndicate finance function
- Experience of Lloyd's accounting and reporting rules expected
- Experience of working in a UK or US listed group desirable
- A formal accounting qualification is essential
- Negotiating, verbal and written communications, numerical reasoning, report writing, analytical.
- Self-motivated, problem solver and flexible
- Good at building relationships
- Process and control oriented
