Systems Engineer - Requirements Management, DOORS, Matlab/Simulink, MODAF/SysML
A Systems Engineer with Requirements Management, DOORS, Matlab/Simulink and MODAF/SysML experience is required to work on a six month with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Luton.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Systems Engineer contract role
A number of Systems Engineering Contractors are needed to join integrated product teams (IPT) within the Electronic Warfare (EW) Line of Business.
The Systems engineers will be involved at every phase of the product life cycle, taking responsibility for requirement capture and verification and validation and supporting system architecture design.
Key skills required for the Systems Engineer
The candidate should be a self-motivated team player capable of working with minimum direction and with:
- A degree in Electronics, Systems Engineering or Physics
- Significant systems engineering experience in all phases of the life cycle, preferably within EW or a related domain. EW (RF) experience would be an advantage.
- Sound understanding of Requirements Management and System Design Process (including System and Sub-System Specification).
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and the ability to interact with subject matter experts regarding a range of technical and operational topics
- Experience of working with requirements engineering tools (eg DOORS), mathematical analysis tools (Matlab/Simulink) and system design tools (MODAF/SysML).
- Ability to produce clear and concise technical design documentation.
The role is based in Luton, Bedfordshire - commutable from Watford, St Albans, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Stevenage with excellent access from London
