Description

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Cards And Payments Practice/GTM Design Authority/SME.

The role is to work to design & develop the reimbursement and settlement software component that will process cards and payments transactions for retailers, merchants and partners in approx. 29 countries globally, which represents more variations/complexities and volumes of transactions.

The role holder will understand Eve (and other Payment opportunities) and identify, package and drive new business pull through (ie Land and Expand) pursuit opportunities.

The Role holder must have experience of understanding Commercially Off The Shelf (COTS) solutions and commoditizing functionalities, so these can be packaged for future new opportunities and provide extra revenues to existing accounts (ie add-ons).

Requirements:

- Identifying key card and payment opportunities in the Account and beyond
- Creating RFI and RFP outputs (or government alternative processes) representing capabilities, the capabilities of the COTs providers and Industry Best Practices.
- Design the Solution from an E2E business viewpoint and working with the Delivery capability to reflect the optimized solutions
- Represent the client in any combined COTS provider solutions presentations to the client and any Client engagements where Payment Opportunities may exist
- Keep up to date on evolving payment landscape and ensure that the client and its partners are able to be at the forefront of these developments (eg Tokenisation, ISO20022, eBAMs, ApplePay, Wallets, Digital advertising, Loyalty, etc)
- Accountable for the quality/timeliness of the Business Team deliverables in pursuit and work with Delivery on any question that arise post signing of any opportunity

Experience:

- Setting up 2+ Cards and/or Payments Industry businesses and/or Initiatives (eg CHIPPIN, PIN browser, Tokenisation, etc)
- Managing Schemes (eg VISA, MasterCard, etc) and third party solution providers (eg First Data, TSYS, HPS, etc)
- Ideally to have completed the initial Card Scheme questionnaires (so that the Role understands what Delivery will have to know to get a Card Live)
- Understanding what Payment opportunities exist within a client, digest these and then present options of how they can evolve this strategy. (ie clients typically know how to be x% better, which is incremental . The winners understand what is possible and create new paradigms (ie transformational) to create first move advantages and from the clients standpoint, in a repeatable manner.)
- The candidate should be a Strategist Level with more than 15 years of setting up and/or managing new business opportunities in Cards & Payments in 3+ countries around the world. The multiple countries demonstrates that knowledge varying card evolutions in different countries and is not a single country driven knowledge.
- The candidate should be able to work under their own initiative, in a multi-cultural environment with both on-shore/off-shore teams in a virtual/Matrix make up and will be flexible, organising their own working agenda to accommodate different time-zones for any new opportunities or pursuits.
- Accountable for pursuits and E2E business delivery in Cards and Payments pursuits
- Historically demonstrate understanding of what is needed in a start-up of a Cards & Payments business across the globe, and aware of what is handed over to Delivery
- Previously been accountable for driving third parties in Cards & Payments so that their solutions evolve to the best outcomes for the client and their Clients
- Present Cards & Payments proposals to new/existing client labels and add-ons
- English will be the common language, however, spoken, written and verbal skills in other languages would be advantageous, because conversing with local country representation will help forge better relationships and rapport.
