Senior Global HR Policy Consultant - Spanish speaking - London

Our client is a global publishing/education company who are transforming their business to accelerate our activity in digital learning, education services and emerging markets.
The company is carrying out an exciting global program which will, through the simplification of our many systems and processes, transform the way their business operates. It will give them greater visibility of our people, greater insight into our financial performance and better bargaining power with our suppliers.

This role will sit in the Program's Policy team, reporting to the Global HR Policy Lead and is largely a tactical role. The analyst is responsible for creating business facing documentation and validating and amendment of local HR policies, in order to support the implementation of the new HR systems: Fusion and ServiceNow.

The Policy team is expected to have phased roll out stages. Stage 1 will be focussed on the creation of business facing documentation to support the implementation of new HR processes and systems. Stage 2 2 is expected to be the creation of additional business facing documentation and will involve HR policy activities.

The role will also have a geographical responsibility to take into account the programs Matrix structure including Wave 1 (UK, USA, Canada, South Africa) and Wave 2 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Mexico, Saudi Arabia) local legal, delivery and deployment requirements.

In Stage 1, the purpose of the role is to provide support and expertise for producing business facing documentation to support the implementation of the new global HR processes and systems. The role will work in partnership with the HR Enabling Program team, the HR function, the TEP Process team, and the TEP Knowledge Management team to ensure the business facing documentation is fit for purpose

In Stage 2, the role is expected to assist with policy validation and possible amendments of local HR policies, to support the wider TEP goals.

Working Pattern/Hours*Some out of hours may be required to fulfil international working
*The nature of the role may change in different phases of the program eg designing globally initially and then supporting local implementation
*Significant travel maybe required with peaks and troughs of travel at certain stages of the program. All travel will be in line with internal travel policy (available on request)

Key Responsibilities Key Deliverables
*Be responsible for the How To Guide development by taking into account the new HR processes, work instructions, functional and geographical requirements and works with appropriate Subject Matter Experts to ensure there is appropriate input in local, geographical and business considerations
*Supports in creating and disseminate tactical policy artefacts: go-to-market packs, How To Guides and any supporting documentation, HR portal materials, implementation plans, etc.
*Support the design and implementation of assigned areas of global HR policies across the company by refreshing, revising or writing where necessary policies and supporting documentation ie guidelines, How-To Guides and FAQs so that these are consistent and complementary to the refreshed global policies
*Ensure adherence to a process governance approach to drive best practices and to support the policy lead in obtaining appropriate approval for new documents
*Work with the HR Operations People Services team to provide policy training and knowledge transfer materials
*Supporting the policy teams contribution to policy strategy, ways of working, and desired impact to culture
*Work with the HR Operations, process and systems teams to help identify dependencies and address cross-over impacts
*Support the policy workstream to ensure the HR policies align with the business How To Guides, culture and HR strategy, and that any documents are created using the approved policy template
*Utilize the language framework for global policy and content to ensure any translations are fit for purpose using best practice vendors and tools
*Works closely with the other Policy team members to ensure a consistent approach to Policy and content development and delivery and to provide support as may be required
*Responsible for providing ad hoc support including data analysis, presentation packs and meeting materials to the Policy and Process teams as required

Experience, Skills and Qualifications Essential Skills/Experience
*Experience of HR process and policy development and synchronization, and familiarity with end to end HR processes
*Experience with global HR policies and the ability to facilitate the formulation of revised HR policies with an international virtual team of technical and business resources
*Desirable: experience within a large scale complex change or HR transformation project
*Proven ability to support efforts within a matrixed, global team of analysts and subject matter experts
*A track record of strong organisational skills
*Ability to build, maintain and manage strong relationships within an international business and across many different stakeholder groups
*The role holder must have the ability to effectively assess and resolve complex issues and problems

Skills/Experience
*Must be fluent in Spanish
*Ideally experienced using Oracle Fusion system either as an end user or a systems administrator
*Ideally Experience using a Self Service Portal such as ServiceNow
*Ideally Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
*Ideally CIPD Qualified
