Manufacturing Engineer with manufacturing eligibility, job available in Galway on a permanent basis. The company is currently working on a number of innovative projects and this expansion requires another Manufacturing Engineer to join the manufacturing team on site in Galway.About the employer:

About the job:
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will identify and put in place permanent and effective technical / system solutions to problems. You will improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. You will be responsible for managing the overall equipment performance (OEE) through the appropriate use of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will investigate new process technologies and evaluate potential competitive advantage and the cost benefit of introduction.
Requirements:
Ideally 3 year's experience in manufacturing, preferably from medical device industry.
Manufacturing Engineer eligibility - Level 8 Degree in Engineering or Master's degree in a technical field
Catheter assembly experience is seen as a definite advantage including braided shaft assembly and reflow, tip bonding and handle assembly.
Demonstrate a practical understanding of lean manufacturing principles and statistics
Salary and benefits:
Depending on experience €40-€50K + healthcare (employee), pension contribution.
