Computer Futures are currently working with a key client seeking a Network Architect who will have already gained extensive experience in network design/administration based around Cisco components and Microsoft/LDAP authentication technologies and who desires a challenging working environment in a busy 24/7 organisation.Key to the role is a personal desire to deliver additional strength to a broad team of experts who excel in specific areas of technology, but combine together to provide a unified approach to service delivery.
This role is based on a broad range of technologies and therefore provides an exciting opportunity to leverage existing and learn new skills. You will need excellent problem solving skills, an analytical approach, along with exceptional communication, administration and organisational skills. With a number of direct reports, man management experience is required, or a desire to take your first leap into team management.
Our client is a PCI Level 1 Service Provider and as such experience in security management would be an advantage.
Key functional responsibilities:
·Day to day maintenance of network components / servers.
·BAU Change Management driven through ticketing systems.
·Responsibility for all LAN/WAN and partner interconnects
·BGP/Internet routing for web hosting
·EMC Storage platform design and management
·Blade infrastructure design and provisioning (Dell M1000e)
Skills and Knowledge
·Extensive knowledge on Cisco switching/routing and firewalling
·Microsoft Server/AD, Exchange and LDAP.
·Symantec security products (Backup Exec, SEP & DLP)
·Storage - CIFS/NFS & iSCSI (EMC VNX an advantage)
·Good problems analysis and solving skills.
·Excellent working practices.
·Excellent communications skills
·Approachable, adaptable
·Security awareness with PCI-DSS understanding
·Expansive knowledge within the Cisco Networking and Microsoft server areas. Bringing existing skills to meet immediate needs working securely in a Production environment where we target 100% availability.
