Description

Systems Accountants are seeking a Group Consolidation Controller for an exclusive project at a prestigious client for a period of up to 9 months.

The role will incorporate a number of Chart of Accounts listing all different categories of income, expenditures, assets and liabilities in the Group Globally, and build a new Common Chart of Accounts to be used by all companies within the group.

Your responsibilities will include:

Scope the project team and timing required, with a high level plan and notes on milestones, to provide the reporting and Chart of Accounts design
Recruit and lead a combined internal and external team to deliver the CBL and Chart of Accounts design.
Coordinate and deliver workshops.
Extend the pro forma down to the chart of accounts dimensions, including example areas and coding.
Assess ERP configuration requirements, including core architecture, Chart of accounts and interfaces.
Assess future group reporting needs, including KPIs and levels at which comparability is required between businesses and for consolidated group management and statutory reporting, with respect to materiality.
Collect Chart of Accounts and definitions from all current companies.

Experience/Qualifications Required :

Able to lead the design and implementation
Experience of tier 2 systems
Relevant sector experience eg manufacturing,software
Ability to work with stakeholders
Proficient at accounting ( Canadian, UK and US accounting rules )
Significant previous experience of consolidating multiple Group wide chart of accounts into a single chart of accounts

Fully Qualified Accountant (desirable but not essential)
