Description
A Mechanical Design Engineer is required to join my client in Surrey for a 3 month initial contract with a possibility of extending for a further 6 months.
Essential requirements.
Ability to design in Solidworks, both conceptual and re-design of failed components.
Experience on Vehicle platforms
Hands on approach working directly with vehicles Failure analysis
SC clearable
To assist the Lead Design Engineer in the delivery of project/product line requirements.
Control of Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models and Engineering Drawings.
Engineer to all appropriate product targets eg cost, weight, strength etc.
Assist in the generation of, and delivery to, project timing.
Ensure appropriate material selection.
Ensure manufacturing feasibility of product designs.
Nice to have
Experience designing Kinematic assemblies
Experience in the defence or automotive industry
Experience of Composites Experience of Stress/FEA SC cleared Degree in Engineering
