Description

The SEO Senior Account Manager is responsible for management and implementation of our clients' natural search (SEO) strategy, as well as the appropriate team project planning of the SEO strategy for each client. You will develop and communicate a clear business proposition and translate this into compelling, creative and workable solutions for clients.

Role Outline

  • Manage and implement SEO strategy for our clients
  • Formulate and implement inbound link building strategies
  • Develop content marketing strategy
  • Be involved in new business pitches when required
  • Liaise with clients regarding their SEO performance
  • Be a key point of knowledge on SEO within the company, constantly keeping up to date on new trends/systems and methods, reporting back to colleagues where necessary, with the appropriate support from the Head of Search.
  • Ensure SEO is in line with all other departments including PPC, Usability and Display
  • Account manage designated SEO projects
  • Take responsibility across all SEO implementation techniques to include
  • Research, analysis and planning
  • On-site optimisation strategies
  • Off-site optimisation strategies - content marketing and social media
  • Liaise with clients and internal departments across the entire campaign delivery process
  • Contribute to new business enquiries involving SEO including pitch presenting where required
  • Ensure sustained profitability across designated SEO projects
  • Optimise ongoing campaigns to meet and exceed client's performance objectives
  • Ensure proper tracking mechanisms are implemented to ensure campaign "success metrics" are appropriately measured
  • Assess web analytics data and historical campaign data to create ROI performance planning and benchmarks targeting
  • Produce regular web stat and campaign reports for clients

General tasks

  • Contribute to any outbound marketing and PR strategies focusing around SEO
  • Contribute to Social Media Marketing strategies
  • Develop tools and templates to assist the efficiency of our SEO strategies
  • Assist the Finance department with invoice reconciliation.
  • Train and support junior executives and building knowledge of SEO within the company
  • Be aware of all developments and their potential impact on natural search rankings

Undertake any other task, deemed to be appropriate to this role, as directed by a member of the Management Team or Board.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The SEO Senior Account Manager is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Extensive SEO experience
  • Experience with multi-territory SEO strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of website architecture and onsite technical SEO
  • Experience with Google penalties
  • Understanding of how paid search campaigns work
  • Ability to interpret web analytics data (especially Google Analytics)
  • Good interpersonal skills including being confident and articulate
  • Good understanding of the role of social media within the SEO space
  • Motivated business professional
  • Enthusiastic, proactive approach
