Easter Seals was founded in 1919 as one of the first organizations to aid people with disabilities. For nearly a hundred years, Easter Seals has provided programs that enable those with special needs to achieve equality, dignity, and independence in their own communities. Requirements:
Easter Seals New York is seeking a Telecommuting Grant Writer to proactively research grant-related opportunities, support the program staff's proposal process, write proposals and prepare supplemental materials, and develop relationships with foundation and corporate representatives. The Grant Writer will research federal, state, and local foundation and corporate grant prospects. Together with Agency executives, the grant writer will plan, implement and direct a comprehensive program aimed at identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts from corporations, community, and private foundations. The Grant Writer is to prioritize areas with program staff requiring grant-funding support.
