Description
Job outline:
The temporary Copywriter (Canada) will be working independently on a large content project; re-purposing the UK product descriptions, category pages, blog and information pages to be suitable for the Canadian market. Support will be provided by the UK Content Manager and the Head of Content, and you will work alongside a project group preparing the Canadian website including developers, SEO specialists and Country Managers. You will be required to be based in the Camden office, so that you can work closely with the UK Country Manager and project group.
Experience needed:
- At least two years' experience writing copy for online retail companies
- Demonstrable understanding of E-commerce content and how it drives conversions (we will ask to see samples of your writing, in particular product descriptions and long form sales content)
- Knowledge of Canadian localisation and understanding of how to re-purpose UK content into CA content that works for this market
Desirable skills:
- Understanding of SEO and how content is optimised for search rankings
- Flair for blogging and identifying engaging topics for health/beauty/lifestyle/parenting blog content
- Previous experience with outreach and PR in the Canadian markets
