Description
Tangent are looking for a Design Engineer to provide support to the Senior Engineer within a well established construction firm.
Leadership and Management
Provide support to the Senior Engineer.
Assist the technicians in developing skills and experience.
Promote the principles of health and safety leadership within the Team
Work with the Senior Engineer to ensure that Team are informed and motivated to ensure the service objectives are met in the most efficient and effective manner.
Provide support to the Senior Engineer and help effectively manage work in the most efficient way.
Planning
Assist the Senior Engineer in designing and delivering the Annual Plan of works in accordance with contract requirements.
Assist the Senior Engineer to ensure that the required level of competent resources is available to deliver the Major Projects Team services.
Finance
Ensure time sheets are provided on time and that they accurately reflect the work carried out.
Ensure schemes are designed to meet the client's budget, including all associated costs.

Flexible attitude and willingness to travel to multiple site locations.
Ideally educated to a HNC/HND with professional membership.
Either Incorporated or working towards becoming Chartered
Experience and understanding of working on and off the public highway on construction sites.
Experience and understanding of civil engineering contracts, CDM regulations, and risk.
PC Literate and knowledge of MS suite ie Word, Excel, Project etc.
Knowledge of Autocad, MX.
