Description

A global pharmaceutical organisation requires an experienced Senior Project Manager, who has in the past led large decommissioning projects. The successful candidate will be required to provide expertise on a plant shutdown project where the creation (and then execution) of a project plan will be carried out. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for a large number of people onsite and must also be confident in communicating across all levels.

 

This high-value decommissioning project consits of two phases:



•             Phase 1: Creation of detailed Phaseout project plan and creation of necessary financial documents



•             Phase 2: Execution of phaseout project plan as overall project lead, overall steering, Project Management Office – March until End of 2016



Role and deliverables:



•             Develop Program Management infrastructure to execute, track, and report activities.



•             Lead the execution of all the commitments across the site and division to ensure full implementation of the phaseout



•             Implement reporting metrics that shows implementation levels and close out with proper verification and effectiveness checks (MS Projects / Primavera) 



•             Interface with senior executives in the Site/Division to conceptualize, design, and optimise Program elements.



•             Drive effective communication of Program goals and results to key internal stakeholders and executives.



•             Evaluate outcome of external organizational assessments of site quality unit in designing and executing transformational initiatives.



•             Design effective control systems to ensure Program is creating real change at the plant level.



Requirements:



•             The successful candidate must speak, read and write both German and English fluently.



•             Education is to be preferably a minimum of a Master’s degree in scientific, engineering, or business field. PhD would be a plus, whilst an MBA is strongly desired.



•             A minimum of 10 years' relevant professional experience. The ideal candidate will hold a combination of experiences in:



(i)            Experiences with internal financing systems



(ii)           Top management consulting (engagement mgr.)



(iv)         Project Management



•             Excellent people management skills are a must for this position.



•             Proven experience of leading large decommissioning projects within a pharmaceutical capacity.



•             Ability to interface with all internal and external stakeholders.
