Enterprise Wide Risk Strategy Appetite & Framework Lead - Retail Bank
Accountabilites
- Lead the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Strategy, ensuring that it is aligned to the Business Strategy
- Responsibility for delivery of the overall Enterprise Wide Risk framework and operating model which includes the Internal Capital Adequacy Process (ICAAP), the Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA), Resolution Recovery Process (RRP), Risk Appetite, EWR Policy framework, Risk catalogue
- Design and recommend for approval the Board level Risk Appetite Framework and then implement it
- Provide the Board and Executive with expert, accurate insight on the firm's capital levels and resilience under stress, the stability of earnings and the avoidance of unexpected losses, and the ability to meet liquidity obligations
- Lead, challenge and refresh at least annually the adequacy of the overall EWRM Policy framewok
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years in Banking (mainly retail) covering a variety of products
- A deep understanding of risk-related regulation
- Experience of setting and implementing Risk Strategy and appetite
- An expert on ICAAP, ILAA and RRP process methodologies
- Direct experience working in a risk function, primarily in a leadership capacity
- Experience interacting at all levels of the management hierarchy
