We are a small company having been in business since 1991 and still have a few of our original contractors and clients. We were incorporated in 1997 and are based out of Tallahassee where we started out and our office manager is still there. We plan on growing a bit more but don't want to be so large as to be impersonal and not know all with whom we associate.
All of our transcriptionists are independent contractors.
Here is the way we determine lines: 1 inch margins, courier new 12 pt. font.
This account pays at 7.5 cents a line for a 65-character line with no spaces and it goes to 8 cents a line once you're off proofing and entering the records into the hospital system.
The expected turnaround time from the time we receive the audio files to completion and back to the provider is 24 hours. Audio files are downloaded, typed into Word and uploaded back to Bytescribe. No printing is required.
The client is a Hematology Oncology account that services a hospital and outside clinics. We do our best to ensure our dictators are paired up with their own transcriptionist and that's why we chose the name One-on-One. These dictators are ESL.
Right now we are looking for someone to work with one originally from the Phillipines and one from India. The physicians and nurse practitioners each visit multiple facilities. This is a Monday through Friday full-time position Independent Contractor Position.
We use Bytescribe Transcriptionist and Bytescribe Wav Player. The cost of the two comes out at $200 and is paid by the contractor. We rarely have a contractor leave, but when they do we reimburse that cost once the dongle (a USB licensing tool that allows you to work on more than one computer and is handy for laptops while away from home) is returned to us and in our possession. Knowing that $200 can be a huge bite for many we allow you to have the cost be deducted from your pay over four paychecks.

Our transcription platform is MicroSoft Word based. We require that you have a licensed version of Word 2003 or above installed in your home work computer with current installed virus protection. Your operating system must be either Windows 7, 8, 10 or Vista. (Windows XP is no longer HIPAA compliant and no longer supported by Microsoft). You should have a licensed version of electronic medical spellchecker and medical dictionary. You should have a licensed version of anti-virus software, surge protector and quality headset. We require that you have a reliable high-speed Internet cable. Satellite Dish will not be fast enough. Templates or shortcuts you have in MS Word can be used while transcribing on our platform.
When it comes time for you to be away or be on vacation we ask you to work with our other scribes in getting someone to cover for you. We have a serious, yet at the same time positive and happy work environment and we stay connected through email, phone and Yahoo IM.
Should you contract with us you'll be assigned an email address at 1on1information.com. We mail paychecks 13 times a year (13 pay cycles) and don't have direct deposit available. The dates we give you as paydays are the dates the checks go out. Being a small company we have to live mean and lean.
