Based onsite in Belgium with some travel to Ireland

Role & Responsibilities
Establish networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system
installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards;
The design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current
environment;
Datacenter design and implementation in conjunction with project design team.
Design and implementation of Business and Distributive Control System networks.
Integrate with project design team with respect to system architecture and equipment
selection.
Ensure architecture and operational services meet business requirements and deliver value
Integrate with site ICT group to ensure global/site standards and specifications are adhered
to.
Ensure architecture and operational services meet business requirements and deliver value
Work closely with ICT Director on business network support and applications.
Work closely with Automation Manager on automation network support and applications.
Contribute to budget development and monitor spend.
Switch panel and Patch panel design and implementation.
Selection, sourcing and purchasing of active equipment.
Supervision of network backbone and infrastructure installation.
Develop close working relationship with ICT Infrastructure installation specialist.
Monitor progress and enhance efficiency
Inspection and witness testing of infrastructure installation.
Support and administration in line with IT security policy;
Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritising information and managing
projects;
Upgrading data network equipment to latest stable firmware releases;
Configuration of routing and switching equipment;
Configuration of hosted IP voice services;
Implementation of Wireless Access network, arrange and conduct surveys, configuration.
Basic configuration of Firewalls;
Support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;
Troubleshooting and fault finding.
Liaising with project management team, project engineers and service desk engineers
