Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join our nationally renowned client for a short term contract based in Edinburgh city centre.
The successful candidate will provide highly complex financial and analytical support in relation to current ongoing projects. The role holder will work closely with senior staff from other departments in relation to specific projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, prioritising and allocating their own work and be able to demonstrate initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Duties:
- Production of monthly reports from finance system to support decision making
- Reconciliation and monitoring of budgets
- Processing Payments
- Support the review of the monthly finance reports
- Production of the agreed finance model
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and report capital accounting requirements
- Support the production of the annual accounts
Skills/Experience
- Qualified Accountant (minimum of 5 years)
- Extensive experience in analysis and forecasting of financial data
- Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of other Microsoft office packages (including Word and PowerPoint)
- Accounting experience, including annual accounts and capital accounting
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders within Finance and the business teams
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Flexible attitude, with ability to multi-task.
