Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking a Senior HSE Engineer to work on their offshore wind farm project in the UK. Our client is looking for the Senior HSE Engineer to be able to commence this 10 month role from 15th February 2016 or as close as possible. Hours of work will be 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday, but the Senior HSE Engineer will need to be flexible as extra hours may be required and weekend should also be expected).

Responsibilities:
  • Provide HSE experience, guidance, inspection and audit in the installation & commissioning stages of the project.
  • Secure the implementation and usage of project HSE management system and related procedures internally and externally on the project
  • Preparing 7 evaluation of HSE management systems and related procedures.
  • Supervision, control on selected contractors
  • Risk assessments and method statements
  • Health, safety, security and environmental arrangements
  • Overall Safety performance
  • Planning, executing and documenting HSE activities and results using agreed procedures
  • Also any other ad hoc activities, as directed by Site Management.
  • Assisting on monthly KPI reports
  • Supporting and coaching colleague
  • Initiate development of RA/MS needed for internal procedures
  • Contribute to Design risk assessments, incident analysis
  • Internal & external audits
  • HSE/site evaluation
  • The Senior HSE Engineer must have a good time balance between construction site and site office.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant knowledge of HSE legislation & CDM responsibilities
  • Educated to GSCE level or similar with a basic knowledge of HSE issues
  • The HSE Engineer will have completed a five day IOSH course or equivalent or NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction to certification level/Diploma level
  • It would also be an advantage if the HSE Engineer has experience in construction design and management from offshore wind projects or from an engineering background
  • Must be familiar with MS Office software
  • Must have excellent communication skills and must be fluent in English both written and orally.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
