My client based in Hertfordshire is looking for an electrical design engineer for a 6 month rolling contract.
The role will involve writing PLC software working from concept through to testing and commissioning.
The Role will involve -
* Design & configure PLC, HMI (IDEC, PANELVIEW &SIEMENS) and industrial PC software code in line with project functional design specifications and company design principles.
* Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to successfully assess and integrate standalone systems such as servo drives and safety systems
* Broad knowledge of writing and implementing PLC software/module selection for complex systems/machine control (Siemens)
* Generate hardware and software parts list and wiring diagrams.
* Design of project specific networking (Ethernet, Field bus, Mod bus)
* Have hands on experience with assembling and installing systems for the purpose of testing and prototyping.
* Knowledge of international high current systems and 3 phase systems/other formal electrical qualifications/electrical safety qualifications.
