Description
This is an important role in the Corporate Banking Finance team, reporting directly to the Corporate Head of Planning & Stress Testing for Corporate Banking Stress Testing (EBA/PRA) and Recovery & Resolution Plan activities (RRP). You'll have exposure to a wide range of Business Stakeholders and support various projects improving the Stress Testing and RRP.
It will involve:
Associate
- Supporting the coordination and execution of Stress Testing and Recovery and Resolution Plan processes
- Working with the Central and Product Performance teams on particular issues and where assistance is required
- Supporting the design and implementation of Stress Testing templates and analytical tools
- Enhancing analysis of product pricing as requested by CEO
- Ensuring more consistency between product approaches through comparison of interpretation of assumptions and approaches
- Assisting in enhancement of models against Driver Based Modelling criteria and assessments
- Assisting in creation of additional outputs to support new views - eg Performance cells and Ringfenced entities
- Liaison with Risk and Treasury in support of above
Person Specification
Associate
- Strong financial modelling capability (incl VBA/Macro) ideally for Stress Testing - highly advantageous
- Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills
- Experience in banking finance functions
- High level of PC literacy, especially in areas of complex data analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
- Highly self-motivated, with an ability to work on own initiative within a challenging/dynamic work environment
- Experience ins Stress Testing is an advantage, but not essential
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified accountant with a degree from a leading university (2:1 or above)
- Finance experience in a large organisation/Big 4
- Financial Modelling experience
