Network Access Control (NAC) Security Architect - Milton Keynes - Long Term Contract - NAC Architect

Our client is urgently seeking a NAC Architect for a project within their Technical Controls workstream. The NAC Architect will be the primary dedicated technical resource on the project and is responsible for producing design deliverables and co-ordinating with suppliers around delivery and testing.

The role comprises the following key activities:

1. Act as the main technical point of contact and SME for the project.
2. Produce a number of the following design deliverables:

  • Requirements (Functional/Non-Functional)
  • Option Select Report (OSR)
  • Outline Solution Design (OSD)
  • Detailed Solution Design (DSD)
  • Feasibility report

3. Assist with the production of the detailed technical implementation plans for the project.
4. Provide technical input to support the test planning and testing phases of the project, liaising with Test Facilities and Test Assurance as required.
5. Be a technical point of contact between the Security Operation Teams and the Cyber programme team.
6. Provide technical assistance to support the definition of technical processes and business processes associated with the project.
7. Provide technical assistance to support the liaison with third party suppliers, including reviewing the deliverables produced by suppliers and ensuring that suppliers are meeting the requirements and design objectives.
8. Provide technical input into the various artefacts and deliverables required by the Delivery Lifecycle covering the Stage Gates required to bring the service into live operation.

Key skills:

1. Cisco ISE design, deployment and configuration (3395 and 3495 series appliances)
2. LAN/WAN monitoring, administration, optimization, problem investigation and troubleshooting
3. Extensive experience managing and configuring Cisco Catalyst Switches (Cisco 2950, 3750, 3850 and 6500 series), Cisco Nexus Switches (5K and 7K series) and Routers.
4. Network management tools including Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor, CiscoWorks
5. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP Routing protocols including OSPF, IS-IS and BGP
6. WAN technologies including Site-to-site IPsec VPN, MPLS
7. Network analyzer tools including Wireshark
8. Configuring and managing Cisco ACS v5.3 and TACACS/RADIUS implementation on Routers/Switches/Firewalls
9. NAC rollout to an enterprise (eg 20,000 users)
10.Cisco CCNP certified in Routing and Switching
