Description

This role will support external marketing and communications activity for four established business units and an internal population of circa 300 employees.

You will provide marketing and events support to ensure efficient administration of event related activities and effective outbound marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

*Provide effective support to trade shows and exhibitions to ensure that my client is promoted effectively and professionally and that the presence reflects my clients brand.

This includes:
*Booking events and exhibitions space as directed by the Communications Manager
*Organising stand equipment, collateral, giveaways, logistics with suppliers
*Co-ordinating event attendance with SMT, sales and marketing team including accommodation arrangements where required
*Pre and post event communication, budgets and contract administration
*Collating event presentational material and organising AV for demo's
*Use CRM or other systems to ensure incoming leads and enquiries are dealt with promptly by the correct person.
*Undertake team administration including efficient processing of purchase requisitions and purchase orders to ensure excellent relationships with suppliers.
*Work with the broader Marketing Communications team to manage the production and distribution of all marketing, communications and sales support collateral to support the marketing effort of the business.
*Support outbound direct marketing activities as required.
*Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

*Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
*Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office
*Ability to work with and relate to technical subject matter
*Excellent time management and organisation skills
*Experience of marketing and events
*Experience of using content management systems

Qualifications:

*Studying/studied a marketing or communications related qualification (eg CIM, CIPR, Business Management Marketing) (D)

Competencies:

Written Communications- Able to write clearly and succinctly in variety of communication settings and styles, ability to get desired message across

Action orientated - Works hard, high energy, does not wait to be asked

Planning - Ability to scope out tasks, setting objectives and goals to get things done within a given timeframe

Organising - Ability to marshal resources to get things done, multi tasking to accomplish goals

Technical skills - Demonstrates functional and technical knowledge and skills, particularly around web technology

Customer Focus - Dedicated to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect

Listening - Active, attentive and patient listener.

Although this position is advertised as a 3 month contract, this is very likely to be extended for a further 6 - 12 months for the right candidate.
