Systems Engineer for AIr Traffic Management Systems Project
3 months+ (37.5 hour week) + extensions
Location: Hampshire
Rate: £420 per day
Assist the client with the production of Communication Systems related design documentation for the military ATM environment. Support the integration, testing and evaluation of those systems; and provide expert input into the resolution of issues that may arise during their phased delivery.
Experience Required:
Technical understanding and familiarity of Communication and or Navigation and or Surveillance Equipment/Systems.
Experience of working directly with clients and presenting information and findings in either a report or presentation format.
Experience of working as part of a team and individually to bounded timelines.
Systems Engineering in the civil or military ATM environments.
Practical problem solving in the as installed environment.
First-hand experience of working within the constraints of organisations such as the MOD Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA).
The ability to create and deliver system focused presentations commensurate with audience experience and understanding.
Participation in the construction of System and Sub-System Design Documents for communications type equipment.
Proven report writing skills.
Understanding of VoIP, VCS and Radio in the ATM domain.
Working knowledge of Defence Standards and in particular Def-Stan 00-972.
Working knowledge of the MAA RA 3000 series.
Working knowledge of Civil Aviation Publications such as CAP 670 and CAP 493.
Must hold or be able to meet the requirements to acheieve security clearance.
