Description

I am looking an experienced Communications Manager to develop and implement a communications strategy and plan to support the delivery of an IT refresh project.

The role is for around six months, full time, with the possibility of extension. It is based in Derby and is due to start late March/early April.

The successful candidate will:

  • develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships within business areas
  • develop and implement communications strategies, plans and materials
  • Manage and deliver the appropriate level of communications for specific change projects
  • Manage delivery against communication plans, working with colleagues and suppliers to deliver timely, effective, targeted communications
  • Provide communications advice and challenge as appropriate, identifying communications issues and resolving as appropriate
  • Write announcements and articles, draft messages aligned to the company messages and manage sign off process
  • Use the appropriate channel to best deliver effective communications to employees
  • Understand audiences and use knowledge to influence business appropriately and facilitate effective two-way communications
  • Support other communications activity as appropriate as part of the internal communications team Incorporate brand values and visual identity into all communication deliverables
  • Work with colleagues across communications, integrating and aligning communications plans and key messages where appropriate.

You should apply if you can demonstrate the following experience and skills:

  • Commercial experience across a range of communication disciplines in a high profile corporate environment
  • Experience of planning, developing and delivering effective communication strategies.

  • Managing key communications within a change programme

  • First class communication skills and be required to take ownership of reporting and communication

  • Planning, writing and production of communications materials

  • Excellent writing skills in a variety of styles, ie for announcements articles, newsletters

  • Proven ability at managing relationships and influencing senior people.
