Social Media and Community Executive - London - Contract/Temp to perm

As the Social Media & Community Executive, you will be charged with embodying the brand on social media and championing all of the company's brilliance in the online world. The role will involve creating original, sharable content that will help the brand punch above its weight online and ensure they are always part of the online conversation. Key Responsibilities include:

Day-to-Day Social Media Management

A key part of this role is to be the voice of the brand online, responding to comments and answering questions from our followers across all of the social networks where the brand has a presence. We want everyone to be able to strike up a conversation with the team no matter where they are in the world and you will be their main point of contact, dispensing anything from advice to interesting brand-related tidbits. You will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the social media content calendar and ensuring that all of our content is strategically distributed so it's seen by as many consumers as possible.

Planning and Strategy to Grow Engagement

Growing the online following and ensuring to word of the brand is being spread to as many people as possible will be one of your fundamental objectives, and you'll have experience of managing a growing social network, with plenty of tricks up your sleeve to attract new followers.

You'll be working across our existing networks, as well as identifying new and exciting places where the brand should have an online presence. A strong strategic focus is necessary and you'll have a growth plan for the brand online, ensuring we are attracting the correct people and that our online community of consumers stay engaged and active.

Community Management

As well as managing our social networks, you will be an advocate of the brand online, connecting with potential customers and boosting awareness of the brand in all of the most influential online areas. Building relationships with key online influencers, bloggers and stakeholders within the drinks communities will help you to build an army of advocates that will champion the brand's cause.

Data Reporting and Analysis

You will be analytically minded and confident working with Google Analytics and social analysis tools to provide full reports of all the brand's social activity online. As well as weekly reporting to ensure we are meeting growth and engagement targets, you will be comfortable providing analysis of our campaigns and events, identifying what we did well and opportunities for improvement.

Content Creation

Creating original, engaging content for the brand's social networks and website will be an essential element of the role and the candidate should be teeming with ideas to help build the visibility and credibility of the brand online. This will involve working closely with our In-House Creative to ensure there is a steady flow of useful, entertaining and relevant content being distributed online. You will be a confident copy writer who has no trouble adapting to the brand's tone of voice, as well as have an eye for identifying content that can be 'curated' by and redistributed as part of our content strategy.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Running experiential events with wider marketing team
  • Supporting the On-Trade and Off-Trade teams with social media support for various trade events
  • Any experience with paid media is a plus

The Community & Social Media Exec will exude the natural confidence and charisma needed to manage advocates online, with a passion for reaching out to people and spreading the word of this

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to create innovative and exciting joined up campaigns that push the boundaries of social media use in the spirits world, and have an eye for emerging trends in online marketing.

The role requires creativity, commitment and hard work in equal measure as you will be required to put in the occasional evening or weekend to update.
