Proteus Europe is searching for a Network Video Consultant (PTDC) for a 6 Month contract based in Luxembourg.Language skills:

Your New role :-
Scope of activity:
- Define and update streaming services services allowing the broadcast of Plenary and Commission meetings of the European Parliament (Live streaming in 23 languages using Mpeg4/h264 and Windows Media Video).
- Evaluate alternatives to streaming solutions currently in use (HLS / DASH / USP).
- Plan streaming servers related migrations (Darwin Streaming server / Window Media Services).
- Support the maintenance team during migrations and configurations.
- Participate in solving technical issues in collaboration with the support team.
- Write implementation roadmaps which will be used by the operation team during the configuration phase.
- Maintain and update customer documentation.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
Experienced in one or more of the following technical domains
Video streaming and on demand
o Internet Live and Video on Demand protocols and architecture
o Audio and Video standards and technology (XLR, SDI, ...)
o Audio and Video Compression (mpeg2, mpeg4, ...)
o Transport protocols and storage formats (rtsp, mpeg2/4, ASF, 3GPP, ...)
o Streaming Server (Darwin Streaming Server, Windows Media Server, ...)
o Metadata and content management
o Analog and Digital TV standard (PAL, DVB-T, DVB-S, ...)
o General IP unicast and multicast communications
o IP TV solutions
