Principal Safety Engineer - Safety Case
A Principal Safety Engineer Services Engineer with Safety Case is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Weymouth.
This is a 12 month contract working for a UK leading Defence Company.
Overview of the Principal Safety Engineer contract role
A Principal Safety Engineer is required to liaise with the whole boat safety team [WBST] to ensure the activities are conducted law WB Processes and Procedures. You Work with the Lead Engineers to ensure Safety Functional Requirements are satisfied by the system design document and agree any divergence with WBST.
Key skills required for the Principal Safety Engineer
- Maintain CS Hazard log of identified hazards.
- Compile Design Safety Justification [DSJ] reports.
- Liaise with Lead Engineers and Design and Assurance Authorities.
- Previous experience developing Safety Cases for Defence projects.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential, liaison with stakeholders at all levels to develop convincing and coherent arguments.
- Degree Educated: In a Science or Engineering discipline.
