Renowned pharmaceutical company, known for its innovative drugs, looking to expand their engineering team with a freelance equipment engineer.
This particular site, based in the Dublin area, specialises in protein purification, aseptic syringe filling, vaccines and mammalian cell culture. With a strong vision and a full pipeline of exiting new projects they are a highly valued employer to work for.

As an equipment engineer you will report directly to one of the engineering leads. As this is an highly regulated GMP environment, I am looking for someone with provable work experience in a similar role (Biopharma/API engineering/process manufacturing).

The responsibilities for this position are:

*Contribute to the equipment design and coordinate communication between stakeholders
*Collaborating closely with other engineering teams (mainly the process automation team) in order to obtain professional understanding of the process control software
*Promote best practices on the work floor
*Make sure equipment is safely installed following industry standards

Since you'll be working closely with the process automation team, knowledge/experience with Delta V systems is highly useful. The same goes for experience with vendor package management and experience with plant start-ups.

Ideally I am looking for someone with:

*Multiple years experience working in pharmaceutical environments
*Experience with cell culture and purification
*A BSc. or MSc. in Engineering or Life Sciences
*Strong communication skills, fluent in English

This contract offers an opportunity to work on an exiting project for a leading manufacturer of innovative pharmaceutical products. If you think you're the right person for this job, then please send your most up to date CV, and I will get in touch with you ASAP.
