Description
Communications and Events Officer, ideally with good social media experience, required for initial 3 month contract with public sector client in Edinburgh.
Duties will include:
- Plan and manage external stakeholder events and meetings including organising travel, accommodation and providing admin/IT support at events
- Maintain and update an events schedule
- Support the planning and delivery of effective, creative multi-channel communications campaigns
- Working with suppliers, partners and contractors
- Produce content for and update the pages on the Intranet and website
- Provide administration support for the Communications Manager
- Maintain a database of relevant contacts
- Monitor media and political coverage of and the wider land reform agenda
- Support the business needs of the department and achievement of agreed team targets
Experience required:
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint
- Proven track record in delivering effective communications
- Ability to maintain and update websites
- Use of social media to build profile
- The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
Candidates will be required to either already hold a valid Disclosure Scotland certificate issued within the last 12 months or be willing and able to apply for one prior to CV submittal to the client.
