Social Media Manager - TV Marketing, PR, PPC, SEO, Display, Social Media platforms, to join a team that drives a step change in how TV Marketing uses and leverages social media.

Location: Osterley, West London

Duration: 4 month contract.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities

The Social & Digital Innovation team's aim is to drive a step change in how TV Marketing uses and leverages social media, as well as other marketing innovations in order to deliver the business objectives.

In particular they are responsible for:

  • Developing & delivering TV Marketing's activity on our Facebook & Twitter pages
  • Championing social media best practice in TV Marketing's campaigns
  • Undertaking a big strategic review of TV Marketing's use of social media
  • The purpose of this role is to lead the TV Marketing's always on social media activity, champion best in class social media and contribute to key areas of the strategic review. The role has a mix of owning key projects and supporting the team's work on the strategic review, as well as ad hoc initiatives.

    Skills/Experience

    • At least 4 years' marketing experience
    • Experience of working with in-house or at an agency to deliver social media campaigns, build a brand in social media, and developing communities on different Social Media platforms
    • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and how best to utilise their unique attributes
    • Understanding of the ever-changing social media landscape and how, where and when to exploit it
    • Solid understanding of what is best in class social media and experience in achieving it
    • Good eye for creativity, continually thinking about how to push the creative & innovation boundaries
    • Understanding of digital marketing tactics outside of Social Media, ie PR, PPC, SEO, Display.
    • Able to think strategically, breakdown complex problems/situations into simple and clear story with well thought through recommendations
    • Experience in measuring social media activity and capable of utilising key reporting tools

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Own TV Marketing's always on social media activity

    • Lead the development of TV's marketing always on social media strategy
    • Collaborate with the different internal teams to develop a consolidated monthly creative brief
    • Managing the relationship with the retained agency, from planning to delivery of creative work for our pages on Facebook & Twitter
    • Responsible for setting KPIs and for reporting using relevant social media analytics and listening tools
    • Drive internal coordination across TV Marketing - including working closely with PR and Experiential teams to ensure social plans are aligned and optimised as part of the broader comms plans
    • Ensure social media strategy and objectives are communicated across the teams, working with them to achieve buy-in and where necessary, work to provide the process and support to achieve this

    Champion Best In Class Social Media across TV Marketing

    • Be the resident social media expert, advising teams on how best to use the social platforms and helping them understand how they work, as well as the advertising formats they offer
    • Drive best practise across all teams by running social education initiatives such as disseminating best practice, providing creative inspiration and guiding principles
    • Keep abreast of relevant Social Media opportunities such as emerging platforms and/or international platforms, identifying new areas where TV Marketing could benefit
    • Constantly identify opportunities both internally and within the TV and tech industries, as well as with current partners that can be leveraged to create best in class social creative ideas
    • Demonstrate sector expertise with competitor analysis, social norms and popular culture trends and topics that are relevant to the audience and social media platforms
    • Develop and maintain a database of companies within the social media industry that are producing best in class work or that could help us in different aspects of social media
