A truly exciting opportunity exists to join an internationally established organisation in the vital role of Engineering Manager within the design and manufacture industry of vehicle braking products. You will be dynamic and passionate about your career and offer a proven background in Mechanical Design Engineering

The primary responsibilities are managing and planning the work load of the engineering team, primarily consisting of Design and CNC staff. This role is £65,000 per anum + healthcare and pension + COMPANY CAR

Key responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Managing the customer demands

  • Production of Design concepts to support an effective process

  • Using Solidworks 3D and 2D CAD technology

  • Continuous process improvement;

  • Development of process and plant efficiency;

  • Work and project planning and execution;

  • Achieving and improving on KPI targets;

  • Undertake annual performance reviews for all of the team.

This location is accessible from Coventry, Warwick, Birmingham, Tamworth, Coleshill, Leicester, Hinckley, Redditch, Sutton Coldfield, Leamington Spa, Rugby and Bromsgrove

To be successful in the role of Engineering Manager you will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experienced in mechanical design and conversant with CAD (Solidworks)

  • A minimum of 5years' experience within the engineering industry.

  • Experienced with CAD - This is vital (Solid works can be trained)

  • Possess good commercial awareness to ensure that the best interests of the business are protected, in financial, technical and product quality terms, when working on projects requiring new tooling and extensive process trials

  • Experience of an automotive supply environment supported by industrial and commercial experience.

  • A leader with strong people management skills and sound working knowledge of engineering.

  • You will be flexible, resourceful, possess good computer skills, organisation skills, communication skills and good-timekeeping

  • Pro-active, flexible, self-motivated and have good team working skills are valuable attributes.
