Model Reviewer

Description

I am currently working with a leading financial services client in Yorkshire who are looking for a Model Review consultant on a contract basis.

Location: Yorkshire

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £ p/d

Start Date: March 2016

Objectives

Ensure retail credit risk models are fit for purpose via:

• Independent reviews of new models, model changes and annual validation
• Business liaison to understand the model development and portfolio "pipeline"
• Issue escalation and raising and closing of actions where appropriate
• Other relevant control activity, including PRA liaison

• Understand and contribute to the design, review and monitoring of delivery of model plans/strategies/roadmaps, including infrastructure and end to end processes.

Seek out and implement change processes as required to improve the modelling in LBG.

Contribute to the revision, improvement and embedding of the model governance framework, including best practice and standards.

Undertake ad hoc projects, build effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide a focus for expert guidance on all modelling issues.

Key Skills Required

• Strong risk modelling technical expertise with execution / delivery focus
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management and influencing skills
• Understanding of industry-wide Risk Modelling practices and trends
• Ability to communicate/influence on complex issues; verbally and in writing at all levels
• Highly numerate with a high level of general intelligence. Lateral thinker.
• Experience of model review and/or development of Retail credit risk models.
