Commercial Manager - MCIPS, EU Regulations, Designing and Conducting a Commercial Negotiation Programme, Stakeholder Management, Commercial Due Diligence

A Commercial Manager who is MCIPS qualified and has experience of Designing and Conducting a Commercial Negotiation Programme, Stakeholder Management and Commercial Due Diligence is required to work on a 6 month contract WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION for a high profile Government organisation based in Leeds

Overview of the Commercial Manager contract role

This role will involve assessing the existing commercial landscape and looking at the impact on programme delivery, designing and implementing approaches which ensure effective delivery of the right outcome for the department, leading on supplier integration with regards to relationship and cost impact upon the department, clarifying the ability to terminate current contracts, working with programme finance leads to understand impact and realisation of any potential benefits. You will have the ability to renegotiate existing contracts, you will also be managing the impact of existing commercial financial models. You will act as primary point of contact between the incumbent supplier(s) and the department.

The successful candidate will be experienced in:

Commercial due diligence and major risk assessments associated with closing, revising or renegotiating large scale contracts

Key skills required for the Commercial Manager

  • MCIPS
  • Extensive experience in a commercial role and a working knowledge of EU regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and conducting a commercial negotiation programme.
  • Good communication skills and familiarity with writing and presenting Board papers.
  • Solid stakeholder management expertise.
  • Capable of creating spreadsheets and manipulating data.
  • Ability to crystallise arguments into key issues and options

The role is based in Leeds this is commutable from Bradford, Doncaster, York and Barnsley
