Description
We are looking for a graphic designer. Must be proficient in WordPress and have a design background/degree. Work will include design of graphics to be used on our website, social media, evites, flyers, etc. Also preparation of slides for presentation. We need someone with PHP/HTML/CSS knowledge to be able to make updates to Wordpress templates.Workload varies during the year, around our two signature events (June 2nd and mid October). In March, April and May, workload will be 20-30 hours/month. In mid-Sept and October, also around 30 hours. At other times of the year, it can vary from 3-20 hours/month.
Communication is important. You should be checking email during the day. Generally, you will know well in advance when a busy time is coming for planning purposes. For small updates/requests, we generally like a 2-3 day turnaround. Rarely, there are same day requests (minimal time requirement if so).
We ask for at least a one year commitment. Our past designers have stayed on longer. You will be overlapping with a second devoloper/designer on some projects.
Reliability and good communications skill are a must!!! Development skill not necessary.
