The location gives good access to London and Paris. The area has many pleasant towns and villages.

Continuous Improvement Manager

An opportunity has arisen within the 50 strong Engineering Department at to manage the Continuous Improvement team.

The Continuous Improvement team are responsible for:


  • Dealing with change control within the Engineering Department


  • Implementing development of minor variants of existing products


  • Creating new products requiring engineering < 6 months


  • Managing minor external projects by sub-contract engineering


  • Providing engineering support to production on existing designs


  • Resolving component obsolescence issues


The successful candidate will require the following as a minimum:


  • Electronic engineering based degree qualification to 2:1 or above


  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously


  • Proven ability to motivate and guide team members to perform to their best potential


  • ILM Level 3 Line Management Qualification or equivalent management qualification


  • Knowledge and understanding mainstream ERP System - SAP preferred


  • Proven experience of managing on-time delivery of projects through a stagegate development process


  • A good understanding of mainstream project management software eg.Microsoft Project


  • Eligible to work in the UK long-term (without a Visa or work permit).


The following would be a distinct advantage:


  • Familiarity with managing Product Qualification and design for Electrical safety - IEC 61010


  • A good understanding of the CE marking process - BSEN 61326 standard


  • Critical Chain Project Management experience


Reporting to Director level, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing minor projects and improvement opportunities through the Continuous Improvement Team. They will regularly prioritise tasks and report to The Board of Directors and present monthly reports/reviews.
