Pre-Sales Consultant - Data warehouse software

Pre-Sales Consultant required for leading Investment Management software company based in the City of London.

Company:

This financial software company is a global provider of Investment Management technology systems, providing an array of solutions including this data management software. Clients include numerous world leading Investment Management firms.

Team:

This Pre-Sales engineering role sits with the wider EMEA Sales Engineering Team, which is responsible for supporting Sales opportunities in the EMEA by presenting data warehouse based solutions to potential clients.

Job:

Experienced Pre-Sales Engineer knowledgeable in either data warehousing or data management, with previous experience of working within Pre-Sales or Technical Sales for an Investment Management software provider.

Responsibilities:

The Global Pre-Sales Consultant is responsible for supporting the sale of data management / data warehouse products and services by demonstrating solutions to prospective buyers.
  • Acting as the Data Management sales expert globally.
  • Responsible for the design, research, information gathering and delivery of RFIs and RFPs
  • Responsible for Demos and presenting new solutions to clients / prospects
  • Responsible for loading prospect and sample data
  • Preparing and delivering proof of concept requirements.
  • Co-ordinate actions with other sales engineering staff within the data warehouse product line
  • Responsible for configuration of the solutions for the purpose of demonstrating solutions to prospects and existing clients
  • Responsible for feeding back to product teams in order to assist in developing new and extended functionality to the product


Required experience:
  • Proven knowledge of a pre-built data management / data warehouse solution for the Investment industry.
  • Understanding of the trends, processes and challenges around Data Management in the Investment industry.
  • Demos - conceptual solution overview, and business case presentations
  • Self-motivated / Self-starter
  • Innovative thinker
  • Excellent communication skills including presenting and highlighting the benefits of solutions to a varied audience
  • Technical knowledge would advantageous, ideally having started out configuring and implementing software solutions
  • Vast experience of delivering sales demos and support
  • Results / target driven
  • Effectively communicates risks, issues, and status of sales processes.
  • Communicates effectively including writing RFPs, Presentations scripts, status reports, etc.
  • Ability to set and manage expectations, manage difficult situations and build positive working relationships


City of London - 70 - 90K + commission
