Marketing Manager - Email campaign experience, Customer Marketing, Direct mail experience

Want to work for one of the most dynamic, creative environments in the world and become part of the entertainment and communications revolution? One of the UK's leading pay-TV providers is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager.

The duration of the contract is for an initial 3 months, located over in Osterley, West London.

Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities

The temporary Customer Marketing Manager will be responsible for:

Campaign Planning:

  • Build relationships with key stakeholder including Product, Editorial and Design
  • With the Controller set launch KPIs and ensure we can measure success
  • Set clear creative briefs that achieve the KPIs and provide rationale for our priorities
  • Be able to plan out multiple customer journeys and touchpoints
  • Set plans and objectives across multiple channels; email, DM, on-device marketing and promo reels
  • Use customer data points and segments to build targeted programmes
  • Work with our data planners to ensure you can take targeted plans through to delivery

Campaign Delivery and Management:

  • Run the end-to-end campaign process across multiple channels. All programmes are targeted - so must be able to run targeted campaigns and know how they work.
  • Provide key stakeholders with regular updates - ensuring the business benefits are feed into the churn reporting
  • Work closely with our creative agencies to ensure all briefs are delivered as per the original objectives and proposition
  • Manage the budget with our creative agency to ensure cost efficiency
  • Responsible for all customer asset generation
  • Circulate all communications for stakeholder feedback and ensure key-sign-off
  • Ensure all campaigns are tested and complete QA before deployment

Reporting and Measurement:

  • Work closely with the Customer Analyst to ensure accurate campaign set-up & measurement
  • Complete reporting on all owned campaigns

Sample Projects/Activities:

  • You have been tasked to launch a new feature to customers. You need consider how this affects existing customers and their products. You need to work through how best to market this new feature to customers - including working with the props team on customer messaging hierarchies. Briefing will include customer service letters and DM, plus show-reals that dramatize the new feature. You will be tracking multiple creatives across multiple timelines and managing stakeholder feedback accordingly. As this is a new feature you need to work closely with the design team to ensure integrity of the new design as it is rolled out for the first time across marketing channels. You will be responsible for briefing and managing creative agencies - but also working on the emails with our internal team. You will need to sure everything is set up so it can be tracked and measured.

Candidate Specification

A successful candidate must have experience in digital marketing and in particular customer email experience. You must be able to show you can put yourself in the shoes of a customer. You should have experience in large delivery projects in a fast paced environment. Experience in building targeted marketing programmes is a must. You will need to demonstrate management of multiple stakeholders and the ability to work through a problem logically. Having a creative flair and knows how to bring a message to life is also important part of the role.

Specialist Knowledge:

  • Demonstrable experience leading marketing activity across a number of online channels (can include; web, email, DM and video)
  • Demonstrable experience in email marketing
  • Demonstrable experience in creating marketing that meets a customer need
  • Demonstrable experience in targeted marketing
  • Demonstrable experience in running a project through from strategy, objective setting through to delivery
  • Comfortable and experienced managing large projects.
  • A proficient knowledge base of Marketing focused KPI's ie YoY growth, ARPU, churn etc.
  • Experienced measuring digital activity and performance.
  • Able to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders across a number of different levels.

Technical Skills:

  • Excel - formulas
  • Proficiency in copywriting
  • Knowledge of email tracking
  • Knowledge of email targeting using multiple data sets
