Commercial Business Partner - Defence/Public Sector

We are seeking a Commercial Business Partner (CBP) for our defence client based in Fareham, Hampshire to work in the Counter Terrorism and Security Division. The role requires a strong Commercial background, preferably with previous experience defence or MOD Procurement. This contract is for an initial 12 month contract and requires an individual who has SC Clearance or be willing to undergo security vetting in order to obtain the level required.

Daily Rate: Up to £395.00

Key skills required for the Commercial Business Partner - Defence/Public Sector

  • The Commercial Business Partner actively "Account Manages" the Division to ensure that placement of contracts via the Commercial Team are made in the most efficient/effective way, helping to identify opportunities for aggregation of requirements as appropriate to ensure improved VfM and optimisation of Commercial resource.
  • Provide Management Information (MI) to support key business decisions by various stakeholders excellent Excel and PowerPoint
  • Contribute to and influences the short term delivery and long term planning activities of the Division.
  • Provides appropriate commercial information and advice (forecasts, resourcing plan and other Management Information) to enable appropriate Division decision making.
  • To work closely with Divisional Procurement Representative(s) to develop best practice for the efficient and effective fulfilment of EMR requirements
  • Improve Division commercial awareness through day to day interaction and identification of training needs.
  • Ability to prove and demonstrate previous strong/successful Account/Stakeholder Management experience.
  • Evidence of Procurement/Commercial experience preferably within a MoD or Public Sector setting.
  • Ideally CIPS qualified.
  • Ability to evidence/demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written) and problem solving abilities.
  • The role will require flexibility and agility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • This post will require travel to other sites mainly in Kent and other Supplier sites as required.
