Description
A leading bank, based in London are in need of experienced Solution Architect. The candidate will need to define, own and maintain the architecture of finance systems /components in context of the overall finance solution; including the description of in each component. This is a long term contract role paying up to £700/day for the right candidate.The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience and responsibilities:
Responsible for translating (business & functional) requirements into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design artefacts using Archimate (modelling notation) and Visual Paradigm (modelling tool).
Analyses & captures business, functional and non-functional requirements where requirements are deficient or client needs not well understood
Identifies and proposes pragmatic solution options that will enable the organisation to move towards the strategic solution; obtains buy-in for recommended options in a politically challenging environment.
Focuses on the conversion of requirements into the architecture and design that ultimately constitute the blueprint for the solution being developed
Ensure that the detailed design of the solution matches to the higher-level architecture.
Needs to be able to compensate for "bad" requirements in order to understand what the client really needs, this may require the SA to perform significant additional analysis and research.
Needs to ensure buy-in from the business, change management and development team so that all stakeholders support the implementation of the design - both from a technology perspective as well as business process perspective.
Creates consensus, understanding and ultimately buy-in around the architecture with all stakeholders
Communicates and sells the solution architecture to all stakeholders
Ensures that the solution architecture aligns with the roadmaps established by the enterprise architecture and adheres to architecture principles
Supports programme and project managers in the design, planning, and governance of projects; specifically proposes options around possible roadmaps to achieve the overall solution architecture
Needs to have a full understanding of the complete front to back finance business process, touch points and handoffs. Needs to know what good looks like / best practice.
